Icelandic Horses for Sale
At Clear Lake Farm (CLF) horses for sale are evaluated and described by Otmar based on his extensive knowledge of and experience with Icelandics. Only pure-bred, registered Icelandic Horses are being sold.
Matching the buyer with a suitable horse is most important. Purchasers of riding horses are encouraged to try out horses in person. Young horses may remain at CLF as boarders. They may also receive training according to the buyer’s wishes before leaving CLF.

Snerpa is a good-looking mare. She loves people and attention; she follows one around like a dog. Snerpa has been started under saddle and turns out to be forward and enjoying a fast ride. Snerpa prefers to be ridden in a group. She trailers very well and is curious about new things in her surrounding. Snerpa is easy to handle on the ground
Naddi frá Clear Lake Farm

Naddi is a well-matured, beautiful gelding with a sweet personality. His dam Hrafntinna is known as a most pleasant and enjoyable riding horse: lots of tölt, easy to control, safe and smooth. Naddi inherited her good looks, solid conformation, and easy going personality and of course lots of tölt. Naddi has received some ground work, he leads, loads and trailers well. He is of course up to date on all worming and vaccination.

Einar has been started under saddle this summer. He is doing extremely well, is very co-operative, and confident. He is ridden mostly on his own along the road, on trails and in the ring. Einar bravely faces new things, is safe with traffic, and wants to please. He works very well in the Three basic gaits and is just starting to tolt. He also jumps well. All in all a great all-round horse!

Baldur is a very promising gelding with long legs and elegant body, most likely 4-gaited. He is showing pronounced gaits and has great presence. We anticipate that he will have success in the show ring and also provide fun times on the trails. Baldur has been handled for worming and vaccinations. He leads well and loads and trailers easily.
In addition to the horses listed here the CLF team occasionally sells one of their experienced school and trail horses. Icelandic Horse enthusiasts wanting to start their own breeding program should inquire about proven brood mares, promising fillies or stud prospects.
