no news - good news ??

Dear friends, CLF customers, and website visitors,

It has been very quiet on our website – usually no news is good news – but not so much in my case. Two months ago my right ankle was broken by a kick from a horse. Those of you who know me personally will not be surprised to hear that I did an above average job with this injury. Like always I had to do it 110%: open fracture and my foot was turned sideways with the big toe pointing at my left ankle.

I never saw the actual injury because the good looking member of the Ambulance team told me not to have a look after my chaps, jeans, sock and shoe had been removed. It must have been quite a sight as all sorts of people in the hospital kept coming into the room where I was waiting to see my doctor. They lifted the sheet, looked at my leg, made a face, dropped the sheet and left the room. At this point I did not care that much anymore because I had been given some morphine – great stuff.

Long story short, I am healing well and will start physio therapy shortly. The bones have not yet healed completely. I have to wait another two weeks until I see my surgeon again.

I would like to thank everyone for their good wishes, prayers, flowers and cards contributing to my recovery. It is wonderful to have your support. Having never had an injury makes this time another learning experience for me.

Thanks so much again, yours truly, Kordula Reinhartz
