“Performance Enhancement”

Since 2001 Richard Thompson is a regular clinician at Clear Lake Farm. Needless to say the team at Clear Lake Farm is deeply impressed with Richard’s approach, his teaching, and especially with his personality. Richard Thompson is a down-to-earth, humble, and dedicated horseman.

Richard has worked as a cowboy and was a professional polo player and trainer. He got involved in the natural horsemanship scene in 1984. His techniques are based on the “Natural” teachings of Buck Brannaman, Ray Hunt, and Tom Dorrance. Richard Thompson is an excellent and dedicated teacher. He keeps everyone with him, treats all questions with respect, asks for feed back at the end of each session . . . he offers all his knowledge and energy to his students.

Here is what Richard says about his work: “My dream is to help each and every one of you have such an incredible relationship with your horse, so that when you think the thought, your horse’s feet do the job as if their feet were your own. Ultimately, I want to make sure your horses enjoy you so much, that they are happy to do the job.”

This special and unique feature clinic at Clear Lake Farm titled “Performance Enhancement” contains parts of the “Learning the language of the Relationship” and also focuses on work under saddle. The 3 day clinic is open to all breeds and it is also possible to audit the clinic.

Richard will supply halters and leads for everyone. They may be purchased or returned at the end of the clinic.

Saturday July 10, 2010 and Sunday / 11, 2010

Continue the established relationship while riding your horse. Please bring your own saddle and bridle for your horse.

Horses are available at Clear Lake Farm (with equipment) for participants without their own horse, at no charge. Reasonable transportation can also be arranged for if you would like to bring your own horse. Please note that guest horses require a negative Coggins test not older than 6 months.

Clinic fee $500 + tax. Please inquire for further information.
